Here's some pics of my tank. A work in progress!

This last one is how it looks now, some advice on where I should move the plants would be greatly appreciated as it's not quite right. I'm planning to make a carpet of some description on the front right, which is why I'm keeping that area fairly clear. I'm slowly building up slate caves on the left, which I think you can just see behind the plants
Any comments, suggestions welcome (good or bad)
Cheers

Here's some of the inhabitants: Not all in the photos but current stocking is 3 albino cory, 5 otto's, 2 zipper botia, 2 female dwarf gourami, 4 female guppies, 1 male guppy and several fry (some 3wks, some 1 day, all being rehomed once big enough if they haven't all been eaten by then!)

Ooh that's really nice!! What fish are you planning on getting?

Will be adding another 2 or three albino cories, 2-4 more female dwarf gouramis, 1 or 2 male dwarf gouramis, another two zipper botia and will be moving the guppies out. Either to their own tank or I might just rehome them, they seem very prone to disease, but that could just be the supplier?!

Great job you have done fishbone, question if I may ? Are you sure that your gourami's are both female ? They look like males imo as I have a pair and the female is a really pale yellowish colour. Check my pics, top one is the female and bottom one is the male. :good:

Yes they are definately both female. I had a male with them but unfortunately lost him to this dreaded ulcer! his anal fins and colouring were very diferent. I have seen so many different colour variations (even among the females) that I was very careful when I picked the ones I've got. Will hopefully be getting some more next weekend, if they're all looking healthy in the lfs I use.

Great tank, quick question for you - is your background one of the inside tank ones or stuck on outside? Just asking cos looks great - i have outside background and, i think because of the way the corner tanks reflect light you cant see background on one side? Have you managed to correct this somehow?
