Looking For Limia Nigrofasciatus/humpback Limia Females

Not long ago i picked up a single male humpback limia and now i want to get some females, but this fish is very rare around where i live so finding female humpback limia's could be a problem.
If anyone knows if there's anyone willing to sell or give away some female humpback limia's, preferably not too many hours away from Wincanton in Somerset, i'd really appreiciate them :good: !
Also, what is the average or a good price i would expect for humpback limia's? The one i have i picked up for a bargain price of £1.50 because the lfs where i bought him from thought he was a platy ( :rolleyes: ).

it's a long way away but they have some in our lfs. if you'd like i can give you the number and you can ask them if they'd ship them to you. not sure if they would but it'd be worth a try i'm sure!!

edit - as i'm not familiar with these fish i've no idea if they are m/f but i just recognised them cos we've eyed them up before. they had about 6 in this weekend (they've been there ages) so i suspect there will be some females in amongst them

That would be awesome if i could have their number :good: , where abouts in Leeds are they?
 
it's paws for thought, on york rd in leeds tel - 01132350795 (how sad i actually have they're number saved in my mobile :rolleyes: )

best person to speak to would be Duncan, he's back in work on thursday if you can cope leaving it until then, tell him your a friend of Alice and Ian :good:

not sure if they will ship them like but it's gotta be worth an ask! they've been there absolutely ages and not sold so they'd probably be quite pleased for them to just go and get some money for them!!

Cool, if they have enough females out of the 6 i may pick up another male (i expect they are similar in keeping mollys/platys/guppys i.e. 2-3females per male) :thumbs: . I'm primarily getting my current male humpback limia some females just to keep him company, but i guess it would be good if they bred too as these seem to be quite a rare/unusual fish overal.
 
i have males and females you can have two of each free if you come and get them

i live just out side plymouth
 
they like salt so ive read but ive done this once for my f1s but the fry have not had salt
they had 4 set of fry and all have been fine apart from 1
take out the salt on the fry you can e mail me for more info
im in the forum

I'm really sorry but i havn't given them a ring yet. A lot is going on in my main community tank right now and life has been very busy recently- i will still get some humpback limia's at some point soon, but for now i think i may leave it until things have settled down a bit and i have some spare money to spend on new fish purchases.
 
I don`t thinkl they have any females left now any way....

aparently some one came in looking to breeed them and too al the females and a few of the males....
 
Well your only in somerset, I can get a lot of livebeares and I'm in dorset, so if u want them then I'll see what i can do.
 
Also worth checking out Trimar and Wholesale Tropicals online stocklist whenever you feel ready: I have a feeling I've seen them on both of those recently, and they both deliver.
