i haven seen gold fishes acting and swimming in a very hyper manner.. if i take it out of the tank its normal so i cleaned the whole tank.. and changed to a better quality of water.. its fresh water fishes .. n even a carp that is there with it is kinda getting too hyper at time.. its kinda whimpering or rather it shakes the whole back side and head is steady.. it does it in a particular corner.. other don do that but are swimmin as if they all got a flight to catch.. is this normal?? cos one gold was swimming like that and suddenly i saw it was kinda floating at a 45degree angle.. so i knew it was gonna die and kept it seperately.. am afraid if there is somethin wrong.. i have put some white chips and pebbles in the tank.. with a normal air bubble pump.. and a immersed purifier.. wat is wrong?? or is this normal..

I would say that it is good for fish to be hyper because that show that they are in good health. Can you tell me how big your tank is in gallons? I think your tank is a little overstocked from the look of the picture. I would also say that carp" gold fish" are bad for tanks because of the ammonia tthey produce and since you have a ,olly I would suggest you getting a heater and some live plants because they are an important part of any fishes diet expesially mollies. Also if you go to your local petstore you will see somthing called a freshwater master test kit. It will test everything that is needed to fill out the ph, kh,gh,nitrate, nitrites and other things, and is essential to all fish hobbiests, including those who keep goldfish.

ok ok thanks for that info.. i am a newbie to this hobby which i wanted to do for a long but never got the chance.. the size is about 6gallons i think.. (US).. it has a pair of gold,carp,3guppies and one molly.. regarding plants and other stuffs i dont really know.. there are some pet stores but i dunno if il get stuffs for fishes as only dog's and cats n other animals pics are posted in the logo or watever.. am from india btw.. so i don know wt u ppl say by those model numbers of filters and stuff..

Hang on- Do you mean you are keeping CARP and GOLDFISH with tropical species such as GUPPYS???
I might of got the wrong end of the stick but isnt that cruel?

as i said i have no idea about which to keep with what.. is it wrong.. ppl say guppies and gold are the best combination.. ok now let me see.. can u sugges some nice fishes.. i m plannin to get in artificial plants within a day or two.. and remove most of the stones.. might keep some big white pebbles.. temme what fish i can have..with the gold and carp..

well i saw the fish index and saw the pics of koi carp.. mine is totally white and about 3-3 1/2" in size.. so assume its a varity of the koi carp.. and yes gold is normal gold fish..

Sounds like ghost carp, does it in some ways have a ghosty collering?
And how warm is the water?
Is this the same as your white carp?

Ghost koi carp! I luve these fish, i go carp fishing.
But dnt worry we look after all our fish and return them to the water from which they where caught as soon and as gently ass possible and even have treatment for any slight mouth dammage. Put them on a big padded unhooking mat to protect them from the ground. The fishes health com 1st!

Luv the fish! What is the temperature of your tank?

The main problem that will have to be addressed is that this tank is far too small to keep goldfish or any type of carp or koi in. If they are acting stressed, it is probably because they are. They need to be able to stretch out and they need better water quality than can be maintained when keeping such waste-producing fish in such a small tank. Common goldfish and kois are really better off in ponds, and even fancy goldfish would need more like a 20-30 gallon tank.
Mollies also are on the large side for a 6 gallon.
I would say 6 gallons is about right for your guppies; if they are males you might be able to add another two, once you have rehomed all your other fish.
