This is my first tank so just wanted some opinions

it looks really good i wish mine was as good as that the first time i must of changed mine like 4 times lol

looks nice, are the plants fake? is the wood all real? u should get some kind of small plec cuz they would love all that wood. What fish you got it there now?

Looks very nice, especially for a first time! My first tank was just, well I won't even go there. It looked a bit like legoland gone wrong. I think the wood could do with a nice bit of moss on, and if I was you i'd deffinately hide the heater, it spoils it alot.
This has the potential to go far, maybe you can move to real plants in the future.

cheers for all the comments. I agree the heater has to be hidden. Just got to sort out the electric cables first.

I started with fake plants too, you can't just jump into the deep end straight away!

The tank is brilliant, a great shape as well, i like seeing different ones

It's gotta be over 100 gallons?

The reason I have fake plants is due to lack of knowledge and time. By using fake plants I can give the fish somewhere to hide still but with out having to learn about plants and fish. My understanding is that fake plants will also grow bacteria which in turn will help with cycling and any amonia problems etc etc.

I had friends with real plants and they now use plastic due to the time it takes and care needed.

I agree that real ones look better but for now I will keep it simple for myself.

Cheers for the comments
