The Bettas Which Im Hopefully Getting

well - i got that tank over the summer - 5 gallons - heater , light and filter all bought , and now looking for the bettas.

to start - ive done a lot of research and do not plan on breeding ( yet anyways ).

and now for the bettas ......................................

............................................ realises that i still dont know how to post pictures :blush:

they are the two bettas above the words " on hold dave " @ jobys bettas

could someone put them up for me pweeeeese?< makes puppy dog eyes > :sad:

jobys making sure that there are no security restrictions on such airmail due to recent events.
and it wont be until monday week at least when she can send them as next monday is a bank holiday.

for a betta community you need 4+ females, which you probably need 10 for.....

unless you plan to seperate the tank in two? Then it'd work great.

sorry - i shouldve mentioned. the female shall go into my twenty gallon ( a sorority to be ) along with a bn and some cories( suitable for betta tanks - yes? ) . i shall then add three more females at the same time - as i realise that the numbers in between are to be avoided when referring to female bettas.

the male shall have the 5 gallon all to himself

edit - what tail type is the girl - i know the guy is a sd.

as for the females, make sure you rearrange your aquascaping wheen you add in the other 3 to diminish the chances of the 1st female bullying and getting all territorial on your new females

I would possibly even add some kuhli loaches and shrimps into that combo. Bettas will be mid and top. Feel free to cory and kuhli and shrimp out the bottom :lol:

could someone tell me what the optimal temperature is for bettas? my betta tank is heated to 22 degrees celcius atm.

I keep mine at 26 degrees

I usually class the girls as super deltas although many make halfmoon in time. Some do show slight extensions on their caudals but no ct in the line that I have bred, must be from way back in the genes
