:D Thanks AquaNut

:) Thanks you guys, I didn't expect that! I'm not going to tell him just in case he doesn't win, I don't want him to be disappointed or to feel insecure

I love watching him explore his tank, I keep adding wood and rocks to keep him interested,he's so funny,he sneaks up to the top of the tank at an angle and just bashes it with his lips  I think that's his way of begging for more blood worms

Great looking fish wuv!!! Hmmmmm I love white fish!!!

Thanks, and trust me....falling for him is easy to do  , he has so much personality to go along with his beauty

Thanks! :D

one question...is it normal for them to "rub" thier chins on everything? He's not flicking..just lightly grazing his chin across rocks and stuff

Depends. Not all the time but once in a while it's perfectly normal. Does it look like he's just barely touching it or trying to rub it?

He's probably ok and nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye out for scrapes and use some Melafix if you see any so there isn't any secondary infections if he does scrape himself.

do you have a scientific name for him? i was given one almost identical to him and couldn't findmuch out about him. loks a bit like a midas cichlid.

great looking fish by the way  .

Amphilophus labiatus

Seeing it's from the lfs I'm thinking it's a labiatusxcitrinellus or a true midas, not a rd.

Here's a good site on labiatus-
