I turned out the lights to write a paper tonight and all of a sudden my Betta, Phil, started making himself BIG which he rarely does, so i thought...Photo shoot. anywho, here's a couple of the pics.

So Fishheads, you certainly should be the expert on Bettas seeing as how you have one 6 years old.

What is your standard home for a Betta? You will get everything from a small hex tank to 5 gallons on this forum.

What does it take to keep a Betta happy for 6 years?

He looks like my blue Betta, Crash! Lovely fish Are the darker colored spots on the tail normal? I've noticed my Bettas have them too.

Actually Big Blue is 8 years. His normal tank is a fully planted 5 gallon all to himself with heater (83 degrees), and sponge filter. He gets a huge, healthy diet, and regular vet checkups for major diseases.
