this is what google has as a golden german blue ram cichlid so i dont think its that.
is it an apisto?

that pic doesnt look anything like a ram.
its heads totaly different.
do they cross it with something to get the golden colours?

It's a golden ram. Sometimes also called golden German ram. The blue German ram looks similar, but is blue. I think it might be able to cross them, as we used to have 2 blue German females, and one looked as if it had a lot of gold in it too. But DopeyAlex's fish is definitely the golden of the variety. Lovely looking fish. Looks like a male too.

I agree sam, it looks like a parrot fish in the link, I don't think it's a Golden ram at all, but I don't know what it is so i'm not getting into a debate.
