Good news!

One of my gorgeous CT males, a cambo with multi-color patriot fins, spawned successfully with my fuschia cambo DRCT female this morning!

He blew a really puny nest tho, so he is doing the 'stick twenty to one bubble' trick and is a little frustrated. Now that she is empty of eggs I am hoping he is going to keep improving the nest.

She also helped pick up eggs, and is such an easy spawner. He has NO damage, and she sustained some anal fintears from tugging. Its her third spawn, his first.

I do think he was occasionally swallowing a mouthful - because he would pick up five and then she would interfere and make him embrace again :( Anyhow I'll have a better idea tomorrow eve when they should hatch, yippee

Funny he is one of my most aggressive CT's, but he was a little intimidated by a female! He would flare at her and she would just stick her tail to his face and he backed down, he was a little confused but thankfully they figured it out by this monring:))

Yah! Here is Koosh:

(I've posted her before, she is one of my fave females she has an adorable personality and is a bubblnester!)

I don't have any pre-spawn pics of Timex! But I will try to get one of him in the spawn tank but he is the spooky type he doesn't like hands and fingers pointing at him, lol. He is nearly a Hlaf-sun, he has perfect finnage and nice thick rays (I dig thick rays). They are a really nice match:))

Awwww Koosh is pretty girl... really cute name too! :D I can't wait to see photos of Timex, he sounds so  hehe. Are you in the states? If so I may just need a baby or two when they're ready. ;)

Hi hereis Timex, sorry for the crappy pic doesn't do him justice:)
I'd love to get a flat-on pic of his fins:( He is much more white/purple/blue/red, and his fins are very equal and flat....
I'm in Canada

Do you have any other males that currently have a bubble nest? During my spawn, DeLaunce's nest wasn't all that big... and over time it started to degrade but he didn't do anything to rebuild it, so I transplanted a buttle nest from one of my other bettas into the spawning tank. That helped alot.

congrats! the babies should be quite nice based on the parents. looking forward to seeing them as they mature :)

Hehe, yes I almost always transplant bubbles for the weeny nesters. I used the ones from his bowl, and also from three others:))

Thanks guys
