Inside A Hill Stream Loach

After many moons and failed attempts, I finally got a half decent picture of one of my hill stream loaches belly “on the glass”. These little guys are annoyingly shy and difficult to photo. Make sure that you try and locate the heart (in the centre) and all the other internal organs. Love this species.

I used to have fish identicle to those on your picture, but was told that they were called Borneo suckers.

One of the many common names it seems to go by. Hong Kong Pleco / Butterfly Loach etc. you name it :)

And it's neither a pleco nor a loach :lol:

I see it on the glass a good bit, but it never stays still for a good photo oppertunity. Plus its hard trying to get the light settings right, because the fish is directly on the glass and using a direct flash or a flash slave is very difficult.
