I didn't like the way my tank was. and as i have got kuhlii loaches and i had big gravel i thought it wasn't fair on them. so i took everything out of my tank, fish, rocks, plants, gravel ect, i even took my back ground off to change it to a black bin bag stuck on with vasiline, and dare i say it looks good, there are little white patches but it makes it look like a black rock wall very effective.
I then did 1/3 of my tank in white fine gravel and the other part in my old gravel, i then built a serice of caves on top of the fine gravel for my loaches, i think it looks good, i have attached some pix just let me know what you think, sorry for the bad pix it was taken on my digi cam that's not very good.

I hope it will stay  I will have more pix tomorrow as i aint got any batterys for my cam. there are fish in there but they where all at the other end of the tank. B) Will get some more pix ASAP promise, watch this space.

looks good but it wont last. specially with loaches.

i think you atleast need the gravel higher than the sand and not the other way around for it to have a chance.

having sed that im glad youve tried it cos i always wanted to do it but didnt want the risk of it not working.

now you can tell me how it goes.
