sorry, don't give them names! he is in with black neons, bumblebee Gobies, Espe's rasboras, Danio Kyathit and Corydoras Sterbai.

He's beautiful Tetra. :) He has a cute little face!

About the bumblebee gobies... aren't they brackish? (I know very little about them so I'm probably missing something.)

It's a common pet store veil tail betta, what size tank is it in and does it rest on the bottom like that often?

Tetramad: Did the betta just get fed blood worms or something because its looks either full or constipated.

It's in a 2Gal, No not that i have noticed, I only got him today tho, What does it mean if its on bottom of tank.

That is just like the one I lost last week. :grr: Gimme him back.

Seriously he is lovely. He looks a bit stressed (I got another today and he is acting the same) The one I got is really small and I cant get a good look at him because he is hiding!

ps please dont call them common bettas..they are the only sort I have ever seen in the Midlands area of the UK.

Liz:- No he's mine now!, Lol, He will be pok tomorrow probs just stress o'v moving house, He's the 1st 1 i'v seen in that colour all the ones at lfs are either all red or all dark blue.

Post some of ur's wen u get a chance.

Well in the US they are very common.

Sitting on the bottom means its stressed. Whats the temp of the bowl and did you treat the water? Keep tank lights off for a couple days to ease stress.

Hey Splish,
Apparently the gobies I got came from fresh water areas, and have always been kept in fresh water. You are right though they do come from brackish as well, even all the way up to full marine apparently. Mine are doing really well my female is gravid so they must be OK.

Oh Give It A Rest Durbkat, They Arent ALWAYS Stressed If They Are On The Bottom, Ever HEard Of Resting? If She Has No Place For It To Lay, They Will Lie On The Bottom Until Any Action Inm The Room Occurs.
:grr:

OO Plus Its A Bowl Not A Tank SO There Are No Tank Lights On. Just Because You Act Like An Expert Doesn't Mean Everyone Else Is :/ Please THINK Before You Post

My juvenile betta is a bit braver today. He is swimming about with 3 mollies he didnt like being alone. I will keep an eye out in case they get nippy

Well I didn't know bettas rested like that, mine are always swimming around and they never rest, so thats why I asked. I think you need to give it a rest because I'm tired of you hounding me just because you jealous. I consider a bowl to be a round and made of glass and a tank in other shapes, there really isn't much difference.
