Hi All

Thought I'd show you all my modified TropiQuarium 88. The tank has been running for 4 months now and is looking good. I did away with the Biofilter that came with the tank and put an Eheim 2229 on it instead. To do this I had to do a bit of plumbing modifications as you can see from the photos.

Okay I don't like to tell people what to do or bash. That's just rude.

Very nice tank though, very pretty!

However the rams... assuming 2 male and 2 female, should need close to 30 gal a piece in order to have peace among them. Fitting a pair in the tank, should be fine though

Maybe only do 5 cardinal and 5 neon tetra.

Clown Loaches get huge.... real big. They will out grow the tank, plus disturb the Cory's once larger, assuming they are baby's?

And beware of Common Pleco's (again assuming that it's a common plec) because they can reach in excess of 24".

Try 2 Rams, stick with either one loach, or maybe 3 or 4 Cory's (loaches do best in groups and 30g is too small). And a Bristle Nose pleco, or rubber lip pleco would be great for your tank, as they only get up to 5-6" at most. Plus they are more pretty to look at and still get the job done.

Otherwise, you are likely to have Ich appear among those cardinals and neons, fighting among rams, fighting and aggresive behavior among the cory's loaches and pleco.

Once again I am not forcing or telling you, I am just giving suggestions among my many years of fishkeeping, and facts from the forums here. Great Tank and Pics!

I don't know if I would worry too much... the tank probably is overstocked, but you should be able to get away with it for awhile.. obviously when the pleco and clown loaches get big you'll have to re-home them, but 4 rams doesn't seem like too many.. just keep an eye on everything and if you have problems then you can solve em.

Thanks for the feedback, I know Clown's get a little large and they will be getting a new tank when the time comes. As for the pleco, I do not get that attached to as I swap him for a smaller one when he gets to BIG.
But it looks like I'll be taking SandMan8388 advice on the pleco. What do you think my chances are in getting the Rams to breed or is the tank a little to busy for this sort of thing?

Thanks once again everyone.
