Evening all !

Am new here and thought i would introduce my new boy White Flame. He is new to me, i only had females before him although i have had them in the past but couldn't resist when i saw him in my lfs. He was in with Guppies and has had a rough time but i had to have him when i mentioned it to the boy behind the counter (who was young) who said that there was nothing wrong with keeping them together and it should be the mollies i fealt sorry for. He is a bit of a state at the moment, and i'm not sure if he is white because he is stressed or his colour i guess only time will tell on that. But the blue in his tale will be fantastic (when he grows a tale) as it is really blue in ceratin lights now. Anyway i hope you like him. I have 3 females aswell (in a different tank)

If you have any tips with him growing his tail back it will be greatly appreciated, As im sure there are always thing changing in the world of bettas.

adding some Melafix will make his tail grow back much faster :)

Thanks for the melafix tip, i'm always reading such conflicting information about this will do a little more research before using. Thank you so much for replying to my post.

Do you think he will stay white ?? I know the pic isn't great but his tail fin changes in the light from blue/green and there are dark Flecks in his white your thoughts would be great.

He looks to have cambodian colours, flesh coloured body and clear or tinted fins. Nothing wrong those aren't stress colours as far as I can see. Nice fish otherwise, I'd like to see him properly when he is flaring.

:hyper:

Nice ! great to think he might be cambodian ! He cost £2 in my lfs and is so so battered it's hard to tell this early. Really Looking forward to his progress now, well more then i already was !

Ok just went and took a pic of him flaring for you, Hope this helps He look nothing like this though, all you can see is white and a bit of blue of his tale, flash brought out the other colours.

Welcome and what a pretty fish. I have a male who had all his fins nipped off it toook about 2 months and he is all grown back and so -pretty. I bet yours will also.

What size tank are the female bettas in and what size tank is the male betta in?

£2 well spent I say, I can get hold of female cambodians in Manchester but not the males, unless they at VT's which I don't want as I prefer the shorter tails. But you lad looks lovely and nice colours there.
