Hi,

Step 1, cut a few slices of cucumber and poke onto a fork which has cotton attached for easy retrieval.

Step 2, drop the fork in the tank and let the frenzy begin

please excuse the rubbish photos i am still trying to figure out the camera.

Emma

Hi animation, i just tied a piece of sewing thread to the fork so i can pull it out easily. The fork is from a camping set and so has holes where it attaches to the knife and spoon.

Cheers emma, Going off to do it right now after a failed attempt earlier!!

I like the botia striata. You could try zucchini as well, I've heard ancistrus love it.

Hmm, my fish are ingnoring it and not really paying much attention- Does the metal of the fork not affect them?

Hi animation,

Once your plecs get a taste for it they'll be all over it. The only fish i have that eat it are plecs, ottos and loaches. The platies will have an occasional nibble. If i leave it overnight theres just the skin left in the morning. They also like courgette but not as much, sweet potato slices, grapes, peas and the loaches like banana.

Thanks for the help, I have four plecs in the tank so they should be alright, My big fella Simon is nocturnal so he
might have a go at it when lights out.
You seen the pic's of him? (He's my favourite pleco)
