  • Do I cycle a tank with the plants in it? I thought that the question is too small to be made into a thread.

You can do a silent cycle. You add the plants and once they show noticeable growth, its safe to add some fish.

Well my oldest Snail died today so I'm back to tell that
Nothing else with the tank apart from the fact most my "new plants" died and anubias is growing really quickly.

Sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved your snails :(
And that's sad to hear about the plants but luckily your anubias is growing well it sounds like!
Please, if you have any questions on Nerite Snails, please tag me or comment on this message.
I may or may not be able to answer some questions about Assasin Snails.
Any questions about pest snails, I might be able to answer them. Especially on how to get rid of the smaller ones.

Hi @StripySnailGirl04! Do you know if there is a surefire way to rid of nerite snail eggs? I want to know if there is before I decide on getting any... I heard that they leave marks and can be a nuisance.

I've never attempted to remove any nerite eggs on my tank because I might end up damaging the glass. Eggs won't affect the tank in a negative way and personally, I've gotten used to the sight of the eggs. Maybe if it's on the glass, you could scratch it off with a sharp blade but that's only a suggestion.

Ok. So it's basically just one if the cons that come with nerites I suppose... Thank you!
Would just like to say, if you have any questions about the following species, ask me:
    Nerite snails
    Cardinal tetras
    Leopard danios
    Rosy barbs
    Guppies
    Mollies
    Bamboo shrimp
    Zebra danios
    Assasin Snails
    And of course, pest snails...

I have a question about guppies... Don't worry if you don't know, but if I set up a tank with 2 females and one male, would I be completely overrun with fry? Thanks!

It is a good ratio if you are planning to breed but expect lots of fry. I has the same ratio and had tens of fry a few months later.
