My fry do not look like gold sailfin mollys like their parents. Mrs Molly must have dated a Molly with black coloring at Danās before she was shipped to me.
Recessive genes are usually in the mix as well. A pair that look just like a certain strain or a species will VERY often yield offspring that don't look too much like either parent. That said, I am not a sailfin expert. My fry do not look like gold sailfin mollys like their parents. Mrs Molly must have dated a Molly with black coloring at Danās before she was shipped to me.
The fry were born March 28. On the day the parents arrived by mail. It is very interesting. The one day old fry were golden little spheres with a tail. Intense color at birth. This is my first experience with livebearers.Gwand- how old are the fry? Lots of colour there.
