hi, does anyone use any of these products?
i was thinking of getting some of each as i have 2 Ex1200 filters ready for my new project

however im unsure how much im going to need for a tank of over 300L (zeolite = 1kg, 2kg?) (Purigen = 100ml, 250?)
i plan on putting one lot say zeolite in filter one, and purigen in filter two.

also im unsure as to where they go, i believe zeolite goes with the other bio media such as the ceramic stuff? (am i correct?)
and the purigen near the top. (above or below the filter floss?)

any help is supreme.

Someone must use them, they seem to carry them in the shops. Zeolite is not a biomedia. If you insist on using it, at least you could put it after the biomedia so that some ammonia will still reach the biomedia to start it growing the right bacteria.

I know that a lot of people use it on UKAPs to prevent algae, I believe it can be re charged too.
It might be worth PM'ing dave, I remember him saying he used it and he listed the pro's and con's.

right, thanks for that little tip.
Sothis means that no-one on this forum uses these products? - that i find hard to believe!

yeah, there is a sticky on it, in the planted section of TFF, but im unsure on quantities to use.
i have a topic on uKaps with no replies. :/
