I REALLY LIKE THE ZEBRA PLECO AND AM THINKING OF DIGGING DEEP AND GETTING ONE.
HAS ANYONE GOT ANY INFO ON THEM AND WHERE I COULD GET ONE. I AM FROM ENGLAND AND LIVE IN THE MIDLANDS.
MANY THANKS

Mill Garden Centre in Chesterfield had them in last week at £295 each.

I personally wouldn't get them unless I could afford to get more than one and try to breed them as they are such a rare fish.

Arfie

I agree with Arfie, they're beautiful fish, and I'd love one, but I'd rather look at other people's and know that someone more knowledgable is breeding them.

wildwoods in enfield middlesex often has them. last year they were selling them at £140EA, tank bred F1. they also had 9 wild caught at £265EA put this great website into your favorites and check every now and then,... http://www.tropicalfishfinder.co.uk/

Are you sure?....perhaps I'm wrong but it doesn't seem likely.

Btw, these fish were only available in groups of 3 minimum, as they wanted them to be sold to breeders.

Last time I read his site, smithrc had columbian zebras (I think - correct me if I'm wrong), a different species to these kind of zebras. Bloomin beautiful. But had they been L046 they wouldn't have been £150 (?) for the group, more like 10 times that.

yeah - sorry folks - No L046 for sale....

Lisa has the right end of the stick - I do have a group of Colombian Zebras (L129) for sale but my 046's are staying put :)

As others have said - I really would dig deeper still and get a small group to breed.
It's such a shame to see one on its own in a tank where its constantly competing to eat (and there for survive)

Be careful with eBay and Aquabid. There are some scams with zebs. It's best to pick them up even if you have to drive for a few hours. That way you can see the actual fish you are getting. Luckily for me, I buy mine locally.

Here's a pic of my 2 juveniles in their caves...
