I was just looking for some information on the matiing of Zebra Danios. I understand that they choose mates for life, but what male to female ratio works best? And how long does it take to lay the egss? Thanks in advance

First off they do not mate for life, but will readily mate with any male/female available.

Now for the question
put in the tank, with marbles as a substrate, this allows the eggs to fall in the gaps so they can't be eaten by the parents. you don't have to have plants it wont matter that much, spawning will usually take place at first light, but I have had this happen at dusk.
condition the female in the tank for 48hrs first then and one or two males. do not feed at all in this period. when spawning has occured remove the parents back to your main tank, and keep the spawning tank heated you sholud see fry in a few days:)
good luck keep us posted
