I added a few Danios earlier today. They were swimming and schooling quite well from what I saw initially. Checking in on them a few hours later, I noticed one behaving a bit strangely. It seems to be moving with difficulty - holding its head slightly higher than its tail, the tail moving rapidly (rather than with the fluid and darting movements of the others), and going around in small circles over and over.

The rest remain fine.

I suppose I should be concerned at this point?

Thanks!

The fish's belly has since become quite swollen.

Reading elsewhere suggests possible constipation or being overladen with eggs.

Does this typically affect swimming? It's really struggling to move from what I see now.

Not sure if this is helpful but one of my swordtails last week had exact same symptoms and he died. It might not be related whatsoever but thought I'd add that comment jic

Good to know, I suppose. Thanks.

The fish has given up swimming altogether right now and has settled on the sand next to a bit of wood.

I suppose I'll be using my fishing net come morning.

it may be too late but if it really is constipation, try feeding some shelled and crushed peas. I would advocate feeding them at least once per week as a good way of 'clearing' fishes digestive systems.
