yuk things in my tank

just been removin some snails from 1 of my tanks & saw these strange little creatures look almost like tiny shrimp. at least i think they do, they seem to have legs & their tail best way i can describe it has 3 'spikes' coming of the end of it & stick up higher than the body.
they are to small to take a pic of, has anyone got any ideas

Yes I know what you are talking about but I cant think of the name of them. They are usually caused by over feeding. They make a good snack for some of your fish. Depends on what kind you have.I think the best thing you can do is keep the water clean and do gravel vacs one a week or mabey twice to get rid of them.

Could they be hydra or planaria? Or possibly fish fry...

Sounds more like some kind of dragonfly nymph - I believe some of these can even eat your smaller fish. Have you put in some plants recently? They may have stowed away on them. I recommend a search and destroy mission....

just had a look at that link thanks but thats not it, they all stick like, only noticed them cos i moved something & they wriggled. they seem to be hidin under the bog wood. def not fry cos think they all been eaten silly fish had them while i was away. gona do seek n destroy mission in a bit cos i don't like wriggley things lol

just been tryin to catch snails in my tank & found some more of the creatures in there only they r bigger now, hubby says best way to describe them is they look like a thin earwig has any 1 every come acroos these before. they seem to always be hiding under the bog wood

kind of, like in other pic sarah left but only a lot lot thinner almost like what i would expect baby stick insects to look like if that makes sense but with the pincher type things at the back end of them, have tried taking pic of them but they to small to get desent 1 of. got rid of a couple the other day but these have grown now

right think i found out wot they are. from wot i found on google they are damselflies, still don't like them n they still coming out of tank lol. thanks for help anyway
