Hey everyone,
I was just wondering how long yoyo loaches will grow and how long it will take for them to be fully grown. I have one right now because he is in a 10 gallon. dont worry i am about to get a 55 gallon so yoyo will have a new tank and new pals. thanks for any answers/input! :good:

i had a yoyo loach in a 30 gallon for about a year and it didn't grow much at all. probably about half an inch in a year. it was only small like.
i dunno if something stopped it from growing (stress etc) but it seemed pretty happy as it was. so yea, i reckon it's a slow grower but they're very greedy fish lol mine wouldn't stop eating

a couple of membes here, including myself, have had yoyos reach 8+ inches.
growth rate is comparable with clown loaches.

great, thanks for all the input everyone! Looks like i have plenty of time before i need to move him into the 55 gallon, but i will do it soon so i can go buy him some buddies. they are greedy little guys but their so fun and they even swim funny sometimes

Ahhh! :shout:

When did that happen? I wouldn't have guessed they'd get gotten by a bichar, especially at that size.

I just lost my five yoyos, too. I'm not 100% sure why, but a misstep on the water quality probably didn't help. Somehow you having lost yours makes it even worse.

it happened a few months ago. the bichir in question was a P.weeksi and is now living a life
