Your Most Succesful Breed Yet?

although not on the scale as alot of people on here im very proud of breeding elliotti fry and only raised a handful to maturity but to me its worth a mention

The only thing i've raised successfully is BNs. They were really easy for me - put 4" male in tank with 2 4" females, wait one day, Eggs! I really wasn't expecting it but now i'm overrun with the things.

I have 'raised' hundreds of 'algae shrimp' and Assassin Snails but consider that no real achievement.

I've got a pair of Cutteri who spawn regularly but as of yet I haven't seen any wrigglers. My Angelfish pair spawned once but that was it, they keep preparing for another spawn but always give up before any egg are layed.

I did raise some Silvertip Tetra fry up to about 5 days old but they gradually died off .

I hope to be able to give my Cutteri their own tank so they are uninterrupted and can (maybe) spawn successfully.

Ah!!!.... Chuck Norris!... You are back in the land of the living.... Long time no hear!??

I know! I've been hiding :)

If I can get hold of another decent size tank on the cheap, I might have an attempt at breeding BN's or something similar in my garage.

James.

What can I say? Guppies, guppies and more guppies. I was starting to panic just a little with all that I had, until I became friends with a LFS owner who decided he'd like 20 pair in exchange for store credit ... yippee! I know they're just guppies, but I have a great time watching them, and if I can keep exchanging my hard work for store credit, we should have a nicely stocked 55g and 20g.

I would love to breed some of the cories I have! Any special tricks out there?

First it was Diapteron fulgens, cyanostictum & georgiae, then came Rivulus xiphidius,
Now I'm on the cusp of another milestone with Rivulus mahdiaensis.
As for my ultimate challenge..This would have to be Rivulus atratus.

No tricks really,This works for me- separate them into a separate tank does help, acclimatise them to a lower temperature(main tank 25 degrees, breeding tank 23 degrees),feed bloodworm and a good varied diet, start cold water changes and await for them to breed :) it worked with my albinos, golds & pygmys within 24 hrs
Tis a pity i didn't have a spare tank to start my blacks....

I had a few batches of infertile eggs from my angelfish but hadn't bred anything until I picked up some Celebes Rainbowfish who spawned almost the first week in the tank! I have managed to raise 10 fry altogether to 6 months old and going strong. They are still almost continuously spawning but I have no outlet to sell the fish on as my lfs won't take them so I'm not picking any more eggs now.
