Hi, my clown loach is now sulking in a cave in my tank and I know he isn't happy, he needs some friends but my tank hasn't got the room. This clown loach is adorable and I hate to see it unhappy, for those that dont know about cl they are very entertaining and play dead sometimes which gives you a shock as you walk past, he even catches pellets before they hit the bottom! will be sad to see him go but its all in the fishes interest. thanks for reading

I did have two but the other one was really small and i think was getting bullied have heard they should be in at least a group of three, taking lfs advice didn't pay off there and I lost him about a week ago :(

Thanks for the reply, sorry to hear you lost one, as for LFS advice it rarely is good advice and there better of in groups of 6 plus.
How did the other one die did he have any symptoms or obvious changes in his appearance?
Take my hat of to you that your thinking about the little guys welfare, Giving it some thought as to if I can take him on my big problem is I live in Surrey which is quite a way to come for me plus I am away on cover duty from home and I wont be back for another week ill get back to you if you get any other offers in the mean time take it I am not sure if I can handle the journey for one clown loach.

Regards onebto

no simptoms on the loss of my other cl noticed him stuck behind the filter pipe, when freed he just sat on the bottom hardly moving was moved to hospital tank but didn't survive the night, very sad one of my favorite fish because of their antics! 1 day i will have a tank with a massive footprint so I can get a nice group to watch them dancing which i've heard is amazing to watch!

Clown loach is still available, no longer sulking, even watched him digging around yesterday, suching the bits of gavel up and moving them away from where he was which was funny to watch, he seems happy enough but i'm sure would like some company.

If there's a way to get this little fella up to Basingstoke before Friday I could take him. Won't have time to travel down though as rushing around manic getting ready for moving house on the weekend.

I have a group of 8 clown loaches already ranging from around 1in to 3-4in and will be getting my 6ft tank on Friday, so the little one would have a nice big tank and lots of friends :)

that sounds fantastic I can do that yeah, where abouts are you? I went to BCOT so know b stoke quite well :)

If for any reason that there is a problem, then I will happily stand 2nd in line for this little guy

hey dave, did you say you had other clown loach for him to live with? haven't heard anything from vickieand kev guess they were v busy getting ready to move

Alright matt...Yeah I have 2, and need another to help the 2 I have be happier, the only problem I have at the moment is I cant add any fish at the moment as my 2 have white spot

Its getting sorted at the moment, but I cant risk hurting that little guy at the moment, its a bit unfair.

If its sorted and you still have him then I will give him a good home, but I cant take him just yet as I will only end up giving him whitespot

aw rubbish I hape the angel is ok bet hes big now? what size tank did you say you had? thats fine I can keep him for now, I am wondering if he does need more company because he seems happy but people wouldn't say it if it wasn't true

yeah he is getting there, and gets on well with my other angel, no major squabbles

As for tank size, at the moment I have a 4ft, but want to build a 7ft after the new year

As for my white spot, its still there at the moment, but it seems to be clearing well, the loaches seem like they are passed the worse part
