Younger platy shaped differently to other

One of my platys which is about 6 months old is shaped differently: it is long and thin - is it ok?

was it born at your tank, or did you buy it that way??? looks to have digestive issues, up to and including worms

Yes it was born in our tank - all the other babies are shaped normally. I am concerned that something will spread to the rest of the tank.

That is a very unhealthy platy. If he had been bought, I would have said a wasting disease, but he looks like he's just been born unwell, and is sadly destined for a short life. If you have bought and added new fish since you got him,I'd consider that he might have caught something, but most most likely, he was unlucky.

Maybe deworm the fish and see if it improves. If it doesn't, just let it live out its life until it has trouble swimming or eating, then euthanise it.
