I just got three cute little yo-yo's.... and i dont think the know that they are loaches. All three like to swim near the top and hang out on the heater and filter. One of them thinks its a barb, they are both yellow with black stripes (The black ruby bards are still juveniles so they dont have that nice red color to them.)and swim in a row, 4 barbs a yoyo then another barb all in a row swiming from one end of the tank to the other often at mid level  its funny. Also how many can i put in a 29g

My Yo-yo loaches are very inquistative and active around the tank, but beause they are now adults (and rather rotund) they don't tend to go exploring as much...unless I have dropped in some crushed snails (still their favourite treat) or some defrosted bloodworms, then they are hyperactive and trying to get the treats before the guppies do.

haha yea, im picking up a lot of snails from work today out of the tanks there and bringing them back here. Is it wrong the through them into a goldfish 10g tank i have so they can spawn and allow me to just pick them out at will. I dont see a problem with it

Yea, the water is browner than i would have liked though i cooked the driftwood in my bathtub for several hours, you have any ideas on how to get it back to normal?

I don't see a problem with getting snails happening in a tank at home rather than having to bring them home from work all the time, at least then you know for certian that the snails haven't been treated with anything, strange things happen on days that your not at work and somebody else might decide to do a snail kill without telling anyone else. My goldfish are also partial to crushed snails and sometimes even manage to eat the full grown snails. How many goldfish do you have in the 10g and are they only young? My goldfish/ comets are huge in their pond, not quite as huge a koi carp but pretty close.

Water changes and removing the timber and letting it soak in a bucket of water to finish releasing the bulk of its tannins should sort out the brown water issue  .

just 2, not sure about them some stupid lady brought them into work because they were making their tank a dumb hamster cage. They arnt to big. Im watching them to make sure they arnt eaten. Do you ave any tips to get the snails to spawn or to be safe from the goldfish (They are big enough to eat smaller ones).

Some places that the goldfish can't get too will allow the snails to breed, thick plants (even plastic ones the goldfish can't destroy) and structure like rocks and timber, if the snails are rams horn they lay eggs everywhere. And making sure the snails get food aside from the usual clean up task is a sure fire way of ending up with thousands of them.

my girl has a littleone g i think, its between a 1 gallon and a 5. Anyway im gonna set that up with plants and some drift wood and just use that as a snail breeder, any tips on what i could feed them tat if left it the water it wont polute it

To feed the snails you would only really have to add small amounts of food sparingly until their numbers build up. They will eat quite happily (and dispose of quite quickly) sinking algea wafers and catfish wafers. With only plants and snails in the tank I would steer clear of any flake foods or foods that break down quickly one it hits the water. To harvest the snails or even just to give them a treat you can give them raw carrot and zuchinni (courgette), they will also eat lettuce. You could even put a small filter and possibly a heater on the tank and add shrimp as well. Something easy like cherry shrimp that will help clean the snails tank but can also be added to other tanks at a later date.

How many yoyos can i fit into a 29 gallon, i want them to have as man friends as posible

A couple of pictures of my two, they hate the camera and hid as soon as they saw it.
