Yo-Yo Loaches and shrimps

I have recently set up a planted tank and have noticed a few snails crawling about, I want to avoid an epidemic of these plant eating guys and I understand that yo-yo's are great snail eaters. However I also have about 15 amano shrimps in there. If i introduce a yo-yo will he also eat my shrimps as well as the snails?

yes he will
the only shrimps that are safe are cameroon armoured shrimp and bamboo shrimp
both of which get to around 6"

Even if the yoyo loach doesn't eat the shrimp right away it will stress them out, maybe to the point of death. Then he will eat them
