I've been thinking about getting another 29 or 30g tank. If I do, would this stocking even be doable?
I was thinking about a tank with 4 corys, 4 platys, and 4 female bettas. The tank would have many plants, caves, and hidey holes. I currently have 1 female betta in a tank with platys and corys, and she basically ignores them.
Would the tank be overstocked? Do you think the other fish would distract the female bettas from each other? Just an idea I had. Please tell me your opinion.

The tank I'm thinking about is 30 inches long x 18 inches high x 12.5 inches deep

The stocking level sounds fine. It's only about 12 inches of fish to around 120 litres which is well under the maximum stocking for that tank (providing it's not very tall and narrow).

I've not kept bettas but as far as I'm aware females are not supposed to be aggressive toward one another (hopefully someone more qualified will be able to comment).
