Yet Another Question..

Hi all,

I'm running a JBL e700 on a 106l aquarium, flow seems fine and dandy, and ammonia is at 0ppm, but there always seems to be a prepondance of 'bits' in the the water column (many of which get stuck in my java moss)...

I'm not really sure what to do, I've just done the scheduled 40% water change... any ideas?

what size bits are we talking? if you're talking haziness, maybe you have a high TDS?? I will always advocate Seachem Purigen when the water isn't as clear as it should be.

The stuff make your water gin clear.

Purigen and some new floss should do the job nicely mate.

Cool cheers both, yes the water is 'hazy' I just ran a glass of water from the tap, and its the same, must have been that way for ages and I haven't noticed!

The filter is brand new ;p but one of the sponge layers is replaced with the mature media from my previous filters...

Hmmm, maybe when the 'proper' sponge goes back in it'll stop (and I could fit in some floss too cheers ) ... should have realised why it was worse after water changes! lol!
