Hi all,

I'm running a JBL e700 on a 106l aquarium, flow seems fine and dandy, and ammonia is at 0ppm, but there always seems to be a prepondance of 'bits' in the the water column (many of which get stuck in my java moss)...

I'm not really sure what to do, I've just done the scheduled 40% water change... any ideas?

Cheers.

what size bits are we talking? if you're talking haziness, maybe you have a high TDS?? I will always advocate Seachem Purigen when the water isn't as clear as it should be.

The stuff make your water gin clear. :good:

Cool cheers both, yes the water is 'hazy' I just ran a glass of water from the tap, and its the same, must have been that way for ages and I haven't noticed!

The filter is brand new ;p but one of the sponge layers is replaced with the mature media from my previous filters...

Hmmm, maybe when the 'proper' sponge goes back in it'll stop (and I could fit in some floss too cheers :) ) ... should have realised why it was worse after water changes! lol!
