you've added fish and the tank isnt even cycled yet? go back to FISH LEARNING 101

cycle BEFORE adding fish.

what other fish did you add?

Not sure on the yellow clumps, but I'd probably remove them. However, it sounds as if your tank isn't cycled. If you haven't already done so, you'll need to purchase a liquid test kit ASAP, master kits are the cheaper way to go, but as long as you have tests for ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte you'll be good. In order to cycle your tank properly, you'll need to do daily checks for ammonia and nitrIte, and weekly test of nitrAte. You'll also probably be doing daily water changes. Cycle is pretty much useless so you can stop adding that, though you'll need to add a water conditioner every time you do a water change.

Here's a link for how to do a fish in cycle.

Once you have the tank cycled, we can work on proper stocking. Or, if you LFS will work with you, return the fish and do a fishless cycle, which won't stress any fish at all. Here's a link.
