my new little boy got him this afternoon...there was another one that was to die for but I promised myself a yellow one.

He's absolutely beautiful Liz2!
I'm so glad you finally managed to get a yellow. :)

He's such a nice, light yellow color too. Gorgeous. :D I love the beard reflection. B)

I'm so jealous  , he is absolutely gorgeous. We only seem to have the typical red or blue to choose from here, however I did pick up a really pretty lilac boy a couple of weeks ago.

Have we seen a picture of your lilac boy! :hyper:

Thanks! Great fish! Nice young fellow, hey?

Oh all my tanks need water changes. That's the time I am sorry I have so many. -_- My boys and girls are in big need.

Maybe I need a yellow one someday. :hyper:

I change one a day..unless I am going away.
I keep a spare tank with water in ..in my back porch then just add conditioner and warm it up. At the minute with central heating on the level of their water keeps going down!

I haven't yet been able to get a good shot of him, he's still a little shy and has come out gray in the pics so far, but I'll keep trying and will post when I get some. I've yet so see another betta with his coloring. His body is a darker purple with light lilac fins with darker purple edging, kind of hard to explain.

YAY
You Finally found one :good: - Hes a Gorgeous Betta

 I defrosted some bloodworms. All the boys snatch them at water level. Yellow one watched it go all the way to the floor then flared at it then ate it. Second bloodworm got about an inch from the bottom of the tank.  before he grabbed it.
