Beautiful! I love them

mstinawu - I've heard they are not easy to breed. I have never done it myself, but I have read and researched a lot about it, and it's a very, very hard, time consuming process. You could probably spend more time pairing bettas up than actually raising the fry because you can never be sure the pair you have will get along. Sometimes they just don't like each other, sometimes the female refuses to breed many times, and sometimes the male feels like terrorizing her more than mating with her.
So unless you're willing to take time to find the perfect pair, prepare a breeding tank, prepare live food cultures, find places for all the 300+ babies to go (not all LFS will buy them), set up a large grow-out tank, and take the time every day to make sure the dad isn't eating the fry, and do delicate water changes, I would hold off a little while until you are sure you can take on all of that. That's what I'm doing. I'm going to wait until I get my own house and have the time/money to do such a thing before I start. It'll probably take me until then to find the pair I'm after anyway :p
