Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for an interesting present for someone i their late 60s?

Dad likes whiskey, gardening, wildlife spotting with a infrared motion sensor camera in the garden to photo foxes et al,

Mum is into arts and crafts, not much else. Any and all ideas welcome. Thanks in advance.

If you have the money get your mom some Windsor and newton ink, its really amazing for art. Get your dad maybe a wifi trail cam.

Dad - nice bottle of booze, silver hip flask with his favorite plant engraved on it, plants or gift voucher for a nursery.

Mum - gift voucher for arts n crafts store. Or buy her something from an arts n craft store.

We got my mom a nice watch a couple of years ago,she hasn't stopped wearing it :D even better if you get it engraved with something meaningful to her.

Another hit in that crowd seems to be photo calendars. If you have kids, that's the obvious subject matter, but before we had kids we would give the parental units calendars made from photos from our travels or other things we happened to have good pictures of and that was always a hit too. I realize that 2020 probably didn't have a lot of good photo op moments but maybe they would like a calendar of pictures of your fish?! :D

Last two ideas are technology (if you go and set it up for them) like a new fancy TV or digital picture frame or anything that will work and not cause them a headache. And finally, a picture of you and your dog or significant other or hobby or whatever that makes them smile. Hell, if you're not into settling down just get a picture of yourself on your motorcycle or something (literally know nothing about you just making stuff up as I go here) and frame it and give it to them. They will enjoy it and mum can show it off to Marge when she comes over next if she's ever allowed to with the covid thing....
