Hi folks,

Since swapping to halides my xenia has started growing really quickly. Not complaining mind, but unfortunately its taking over the top of my LR and much of the rock its attached to is some really big pieces.

Can I just 'peel' away a few of the outer stems, those which are no longer attached to the main body of the coral, so I can create a bit more space for my other corals?

...and for a bonus point, how would I re-attach the removed peices to some other rocks for sale, re-homing or distribution elsewhere in my tank? Is it a gluing job, elastic bands or some string or whatever, or just wedge it into a crack somewhere?

Thanks all!

Sure, just prune away :). For re-attaching frags, consider rubberbands, glue, and needle/thread. Whichever you're most comfortable with tbh
