Hi,
I have a 60G tank and currently have:
5 Pearl Danios (possibly 4, one is being bullied/loosing weight - so I might buy another 5 as they tend to shoal better in a larger group)
10 Neon Tetras
3 Siamese Algae eaters
I am rehoming my apistos, and due to pregnancy haven't really been able to look after this tank hence losage :( but I'm getting ready to pick the hobby back up in the summer once the baby makes an appearence and thought I may aswell get something new to look at with a bit more colour :)

So, I am thinking of adding:
1 Keyhole Cichlid
1 Bolivian Ram
6 Otto's
6 Julii Corys
6 Rummy Nose Tetras / Glowlight tetras?

Would this work? I am trying to achieve more colour in the tank so could I also get away with honey gourami/blue gourami, single or a group? I do really like the paradise fish but think he maybe to aggressive for this tank??

Whats the dimensions?
Your going to need more bolivians as they are social.
Also your neons will start to vanish with a keyhole cichlid.

Thanks Snake, it's a bow fronted L 4ft x D 2ft with plenty of bogwood and rocks creating numerous hidy holes/territories (I've got apisto's in there at the min), 16Gh PH 7.5-8.0 current temp 24, live plants - mostly vallis/cryps. Amazon swords, I can't get to stay alive so might get fake ones.

So u think I should give the Keyhole a miss but get a pair of Bolivians? What about the Paradise fish? I've just seen the most beautiful one in my lfs...... they also had parot cichlids (but not with the round protruding head!?), kribs and red finned sharks. I'm seeing stars already took all my will power not to walk out with them all lol x

Well I would go with a group of 4 Bolivians in that size tank, the parrot are hit and miss but not really suitable, as again your neon will dissipear and they really need to be in groups, their much suited for a semi-aggressive community.

I'm concerned that as they are difficult to sex esp as juvi's I might run the risk of having 1f vs 3m's lol This is why I was thinking of individuals really. I accept I will have aggression but it would be mostly territorial but once you factor breeding into the equation than the agression will go through the roof..... decisions, decisions!

P.S. My neons have been slowly going missing - I've caught the algae eaters having a nibble, would you believe it lol! Turn their noses up at the algae ;)
