Wth Is This, Hitchhicked On Some Cheato.

anyone know what this is, it seems to be slowly poking a nose/eye/something out ATM

does it have a slug/snail like body underneath? if so it looks like the stomtella in my tank

but then to my untrained eye it looks like a cowrie shell

Hmmm it looks like a cowry of some sort, it's got a cowry style shell

Looks very cowry like to me (shudders after looking at too many cowries at Uni) Can be quite a nasty lil predator dependent on the subspecies. Get shot of would be my advice. Others may know better!

I would go with Cowrie also is it in your sump ?

Not sure where it is now TBH, it was in the display tank but it seems to of vanished.

Money Cowries are reef safe google image them to see if it is the same.

Well it appeared after lights out, it was just mincing about on my LR.

Funny looking brute, it has a long wobbly nose and a dark fleshy body covered in wobbly things. The shell couldn't be seen at all.
Looks like a mixture of a slug, an elephant and an old bit of gum.

This morning it was gone, hiding somewhere no doubt.

Definatly a Cowrie then some can be aggressive Money Cowries are considered safe and I have about 8 in my tank
