Wow, Petco is getting good with bettas

I found a mustard gas VT at petco today. You don't realize how tempted I was to buy it. I'd say there stock is getting much better!

Edit* Now, I admit I'm no expert at bettas, but I may have seen a half VT half CT... It did have crowns, just much shorter then a normal CT..

My petco is gettin good too~ The bettas are now in cups that are double the size of the old ones! THe cups are still small, but they are getting better! If only I could find a betta with a nice tail at my petco...

i saw a mustard gas Ct at my petco. it was a very dark MS though. and i think it was a cull because the tail curled.

yes-i was surprised at the new cup size. its still only about 60% the size of walmart cups but its a big improvement for them...

i went in 2 weeks ago and saw the new cups and i was so happy, i actually bought one. it was a pineapple.

occasionally they will have unique colored (as in not tons of blue with redwash or plain red) bettas. still i think petco has the worst stock out of all of the fish stores around here.
i usually find unique colors in walmart and pet supermarket

I just got back from petco. There were bettas everywhere!!! Since they have the bigger cups now they made a whole new shelving system for them, plus they had them all over the counters. All but a few looked healthy and the ones with ripped fins had... get ready... BETTAMAX!!! I guess some petcos do care.

first I have no idea at all what a gp is. But i WAS A CT. it had double rays. but the fins curled at the ends. it was a cull.
