Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): While feeding my Pearls today I noticed red lumps on the head of one of the males. It does not look infected, and there is no pus or other excrement. It is located right behind and above the right eye of the fish. upon further inspection I found the exact same lump in the exact same place on my other male Pearl. Both Females are perfectly fine and all of the Cory's are acting normal. All of the fish ate normally today. I initially thought it was some infection or fighting wound, but I am very perplexed how it is in the same place on both of the males.

How did you pick up on that 0.02 ppm of ammonia? lol You must have very good eyes.

Anyways, that's strange that they have the same wound in the same place, and it's only the males. I would guess that it's fighting wounds and maybe just a coincidence that their in the same spot. Or maybe there's something sharp in your aquarium?

Post pictures if you can. That would definitely help.

I would do a water change, just to make sure that small mount of ammonia won't effect the wounds.

How big is your tank? Is it heavily planted? Can you provide a photo of the tank?

2 male Gouramis in a tank with 2 females is a disaster waiting to happen, If they are not already fighting over territory females and breeding rights or what ever they soon will be, I would suggest re homing one of the males.

Ill, get pictures in a sec, it is a 55 gallon well planted, I moved one of the Males to a small 10 gallon quarantine tank.

agreeing that it sounds like fight wounds and agreeing that one of the males needs moving or re-homing. If you add some API Melafix (all natural contents so safe for plants, filters and snails and shrimps) the wounds should heal up quickly :)
