i just had this idea as i cant now employ my soldering iron anymore, if i were to place a piece of LR rubble over the top of an aip, cutting off its light, would it move onto the new rock which i could then remove, what do you think, as i have heard this sometimes works with mojanos

Get a peppermint shrimp, my shrimp polished off all my aiptasia in a matter of days... and i had LOTS!

cant find any local, my lfs told me they tend to be seasonal and he should have some back end of summer

Oh right, my lfs seem to always have them! They also do uk wide mail order if you're interested, its called tri-mar aquaria.. the website is a bit of a mess and so hard to find your way around, but their stock is real good

But to answer your question, yes it will move, but might just move to a rock you dont want it on
