Would This Be Ok Or Deadly?

hi i have a small blackmoor an a small oranda i have had them for a couple of months there ok an i got the blackmoor for a prezzi stupid uncles thanks lol anyway so i dident have time 2 cycle or anythin there doin fine i think the tank cyeld or summit coz all you people said the water gose dirty and its just not its stays crystal clearall the time anyway my sis is gettin me a bigger tank for them yay and i was woundering if i would be safe in putting my fish in a cycled tank or would it be dangerous?

ok so if i read that right you have a tank with two fish that you didn't inititially cycle and now you have a bigger tank for them,.

if so then i would set the new tank up, and following the instructions on the link below, cycle the new tank. once that tank is fully cycled you can easily transfer the fish over to the new tank, and then remove the smaller tank.

if however you only have space for one tank, then provided your new tank is no more than 50% larger than the current one. you can transfer the water, fish and filter over to the new one and then top the tank up with fresh dechlorinated water.

Urm, where does this 50% bigger figure come from? It's exactly the same bioload, thus all you'd need to do it put the fish and the filter in the new tank at the same time (along with the bigger filter on the new tank) and leave them running together for a month or so. Alternatively, take the media out of the old filter and put it in the new one.

thanks i have liked bettas for a while an am wondering if i can cycle the small tankthen put a betta in if so is there a diffo way of cylin as there tropical i think?
