I was watching my Tiger Barbs, and decided they would be happier in greater numbers. I do hhave six of them, which is supposedly the minimum. I like my schooling fish, and want to add at least four more of them. I would be adding the fish to my 32 gallon, which is in my sig. The Clown Loaches are only 1.25 inches long, and, in a year, should be about 2-2.25 inches long, with slow growth after that.

So, would it be crazy?

are you gunna be getting a bigger tank eventually?
i would say your ok if you eventually (as they get bigger) get another for the blood parrot cichlid and clown loaches
which will all reach about 8" and your pretty crowded once everyone reaches full grown (almost 50" in your 32 gallon)

have the tiger barbs been getting along with the cherry barbs ok?
cause cherry barbs are timid community

Don't worry about the Loaches, they're going to a good home. My Dad's getting a 200 gallon tank (5'X2'X2') in 2 or 3 years, when the loaches will still be a moderate size. The blood parrot is also going in with them; he's actually my Dad's fish. My Dad bought two for his 55 gallon tank, and one was being picked on, so now he lives in a cave in my tank. I don't think my stocking level is too bad, considering I have live plants and at the moment, have stable (<30ppm) nitrates with a 20% water change every two weeks. The tiger barbs don't pick on anyone in the tank; they just stay to themselves.

I think I'll wait on the Tiger Barbs, though, my fish will be stressed enough with the soil underlayer and sand bed I'm adding this weekend.
