Would My Betta Be Okay With Red Phantom Tetras?

I was just wondering... would my betta be okay with my 5 red phantom tetras? Or would they nip the crap out of his fins? I read somewhere (I think it was this forum) that tetras might be nippy...

Well, I tired it last night on the go ahead from another board... the tetras didnt touch him, but Wash (my betta) Really didn't seem to enjoy being in a tank with other fish... he only explored for aboutfive minutes and then hid in the corner behind the plant and heater for the rest of the time... I waited over 12 hours and when I still hadn't seen him come out, I took pity on him and put him back by himself; he's all happy again. *shrugs* I guess some bettas just arent meant for community tanks, heh.
