Hi,
I have a 180 litre tank which has
3 albino cories
3 bronze cories
6 leopard danios
1 platy
10 neon tetras
I was looking for some brightly coloured fish so I was looking at tetras but a friend told me to have a look at barbs but to stay away from tiger barbs as they can be nippy. Is there any type I can get that will get on with my fish and not be a problem with any fish I get in the future.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Tiger barbs are only nippy when kept in small groups, personally I'd say 8 as a min, but others say 6.

If you like TBS then why not look out for pentazona barbs and/or black ruby barbs.

Thanks for the replys,
If I got cherry, ruby or pentazona barbs how many would I have to get?
Do you have to have males and females or doesn't it matter, and if you do is it easy to tell the difference between the sexes?

cherry barbs can be kept in pairs (1male{red hence the name} 1 female{brownish})
or in small groups (1 male per 2 females)

the others should be in groups of at least 5. mixed or single sex groups is ok.

Thanks for that, I can never tell the difference between males and females so I do like fish that don't care what sex they are with.
