welll ive had another whitespot outbreak thats abosultely covered the remainder of my fish so im preparing for the inevatable. if the inevtable does happen i may take some time off to do some research, heres what ive thought of so far and need you lot to tell me flaws etc!!

split my tank into 2 by using a mesh and live rock wall, one powerhead in left hand side of tank blasting through the rock wall and creating a little flow in the right hand side of the tank.

im thinking right hand side seahorses or pipefish since they dont like alot of flow i thought the powerhead from the other side will provide filtraion through the lr wall but not create alot of flow for the seahorse's/pipefish

left hand side of tank i was thinking an octopus it will be completly seperate from the right side, and have a netting on top with a heavy glass plane of glass with locks to keep it down to stop the stong things getting out, but they dotn live long and im unsure of there survival rates. ive done a bit of research regarding them but need alot more. the other option for this side i was thinking of a frogfish or something along those lines again more research is needed for this.

i really need to try and sketch out the idea since its hard to explain!! anyways these are just thoughts, probably insane thoughts, but id love some help regarding any of this or possible other ideas...

how bout a mantis shrimp instead of octopus, they seem so cool and interesting

Octos in general need pretty big tanks... most pipefish can do fine in reefs and don't mind flow as much as seahorses do. How big will this tank be?

its 180 litres or 40uk gallons about 48us i think.... currently got whitespotted fish in so im just restarting in a few months but want somethign different, may try and get something less prone to whitespot!!

a two spot can live in a 50 gallon but i dont know wether thats 50us or 50imp gallons ....

i dont want a reef either the corals i currently have will be moving into a nano with some live rock and perhaps a small fish or shrimp
