Worm Feeding Cones

Hi

I am considering purchasing one of them Worm feeder cones and would like to know if they only work with live, wriggling worms or can frozen worms be fed through them as well?

I think having this would make feeding alot less messy for the tank.

they need to be alive otherwise they won't wiggle and fall through the cracks!

I have put frozen bloodworm in the cone to defrost them, and what do you know;
the fish started to pull them out through the holes.
it took about three times longer than it would've for the fish to finish them off
if they were live worm.
in other words the fish had to work harder/longer for their food.
