im getting a kelly betta, cant wiat to post pics :fun:

im divideing a 10g into 3 sections for the new arrival and my mg vt boy, does anyone have any ideas about how i can filtrate the thing? iv got 2 sponge filters, on on either side of the tank, and in the middle im going to run an airhose and a bubble wand (not too many bubbles thogh, too much current is bad for fish with big tails -_- ) sound good? i would use a good heavy duty 10g filter for for it but they mesh i use for the divider would get blown over. id probably be doing minor water changes and cleanings every other day anyway, with a cleaning of the spong filters once a week. how do u guys have ur stuff set up?

im also moving my 4 girlys to a 20g to make room for a few more this summer :D  never can have too many bettas :fun:

what are you using to divide the tank? if you are just using mesh, are you going to secure it to the sides of the tank? i used that craft mesh, but siliconed the little plastic binders to the side to hold them in place.

sounds like there should be good water movement in the tank, as long as there issome flow between the sections!

good luck!!

well our petsmart is a ways off and our petco sucks, iv boycotted them. im useing that crfat store mesh that people use for those yarn projects, water flows throgh them great. i bought 2 10g divider kits but the mesh used in them doesn't let water throgh very easily at all, so useing the kit stuff with the new mesh the dividers will work great  iv got a sand substrate too, always makes cleaning easier ;) if theres anything else i can add to the setup to make it better let me know, im open for suggestions :D

When you look at the silk plants look for some of the ones with big leaves. I took the leaves and put them on the divider to the fish can not see each other except in small spots. Just be sure you dont put so many on you block the water flow and do not use super glue. :) Must of the leaves pop right out of the weight on the bottom with a little tug. :D

how important is it that the fish cant see eachother, i do plan on adding some live plants eventually, but i dont think its gunna block teh divider. wont they just get used to each other after a while?
