Woooo after my disaster with my trilly fry, i have been conditioning all my corys and finally one decided to give me some eggs. I wasn't sure who it was until i was scraping the first batch of eggs off into the containor and she layed infront of my eyes, The culperit My big girl, the Albino Aneus.... I will have to see if they are bronze or albino as they may have cross bred as i have both. They are in a sandwich box floating in my tank with water and an air stone in it. I have added anti fungus and doo 50% daily waterchanges. Seems too be going well and all i can see have darkened well so hopefully be hearing the splish splash of tiny fins soon

Congrats richchappy

Great to hear your albino has given you some eggs. If she has spawned with the bronze male, you will only get albino babies if he has the albino gene. I had bronze and albino cories, and she only ever spawned with my bronze male. I never had one albino fry from the spawns, so he obviously didn't have the gene.

Good luck and look forward to hearing about their progress.

:good:

Is it possible to get an albino through a random mutation? That's where the gene comes from originally isn't it?

Slight hijack i know, good luck with the fry!
