I'm so excited! This past weekend I won an auction on Aquabid for 5 red laser corys! I was shocked, no one else bid on them so I got them for the starting price. The seller will be shipping them to me Saturday, so hopefully I'll be getting them Monday. I can't wait to get them! Darn, now I want some green and orange ones too!

Congratulations, Polardbear

I was watching that auction during the final day and hoping you would win! I'll be looking forward to seeing pictures of them when they arrive.

Hummmm.............I wonder if he has any more of them?

Hi Inchworm -

I'll ask him in our next email exchange, he's currently out of town so it's a little slow talking to him right now.

I'm glad you got to see the end of the auction - I had to leave for work with 10 minutes to go and then had to wait all night to find out if I had won. I thought for sure someone would come in at the last minute and take them away from me!

you should wait on shipping, you don't want them stuck in the post office. i'd wait to ship until monday so they are in there as little as possible.

Hi Polardbear :)

I'm glad you got to see the end of the auction - I had to leave for work with 10 minutes to go and then had to wait all night to find out if I had won. I thought for sure someone would come in at the last minute and take them away from me!

OMG!!! I don't know how you stood it! It's frequently in those last few minutes that all the action happens. :hyper:

It wasn't easy, especially when no one at work is even slightly interested in fish! They all looked at me like I was nuts, try explaining a lazer cory to non fish people let alone buying them from an internet fish auction site.

I can't wait for them to arrive. They are going into a 20 long tank that is currently occupied by my herd of C. Schwartzi and a handful of 1-2 week old Swordtail fry. I'll move the Schwartzi's over to the 50 gallon Wag Swordtail tank but I'm not sure where the Swordie babies are going to go. I may have to break down and bring in one of my old Rubbermaid Storage/Fry tanks.

They arrived this morning! They are so beautiful! I spent about 3 hours slowly acclimating them and they are now cruising around their new home. They seem to have handled the shipping quite well, they are very active and busy searching for food. They don't appear to be at all stressed but I've got the lights off on the tank just to be safe. They are a really nice size and I'm pretty certain that I've got both sexes. I'm going to let them relax for the rest of the day and night and will get some pictures of them tomorrow.

Hi Polardbear :)

That's great news! Now I can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm wondering if the color is very different between them and the orange lasers.

Hi Angel Lady :)

I just got some orange lasers from Dom at [email protected]. These are nice and healthy and I'm sure you would like them.

I took this picture when they had just arrived and they were a little cold and shook up from their trip. They have brightened up considerably since then. :D

Thats probably where I will end up getting mine too. Hopefully he will still have some when I get ready. I will definately let him know who told me about them.
