Does anyone know a plec that could fit nicely in a two foot tank and wont grow out of it? Or does one not exsist?

have a look through Planetcatfish... there are more small plecs than there are large (rough guess)

in a 2 ft tank we have a breeding collony of bristle nose plecs - they get to 4/5"...

We also tha some other small plecs like the Columbian zebreas and the Leopard frog plec that only get to 4"

What do you want it for - if its for algae then a bristle nose of a bulldog plec would do well.

What other fish will it be in with?

I don't have algae, yet. And if I got one it would be going in with danios corys and a dwarf gourami.

Rubbernoses are also called bulldogs and rubberlipped. From what i read, Bristlenoses are the best of the bunch for eating algae. I've been looking for one for about a month now for my 36gal.

Otos are the smallest plec and like to live in groups.

A bunch of them would be great in a small tank, and they're excellent algae eaters too!

Hi Lynz781 and CoryD..if you've got a few extra dollars hangin' around..here ya go:
They look cool but I don't think I can get them in Scotland. Oh just been paid today and its so tempting to go buy new fish!! I want to get 3 pretty cories to go with my 3 pepper corys. Two in particular pair off and leave one on its own. They look incredible when they shoal. :hyper:
I'll keep looking for the perfect plec for me.

I've got 3 of those myself. They are active guys. More than my albinos. I think only my Spotted ones are more active actually.
